About
Us
Here at
4Paws Country Club, we are focused to providing superior care and
personalized attention for all pet guests so pet parents have peace of
mind that their pet is safe and happy. Guest security is an issue taken
seriously and for additional safety, multiple video cameras are located
throughout the facility and are actively monitored at all times.

Our
newly constructed center is light, bright and designed to be as dog
friendly as possible. Sanitation is of utmost importance and our heated
concrete flooring has the additive that is used in dairy parlours to
create a tight non-porous cement that is conducive to cleanliness. Plastic
board lines the individual kennels so as not to harbour bacteria. A food
safe, veterinary used disinfectant is used to wash down the kennel daily
and after each guest goes home.
In our
personal lives, we have a great love and passion for all animals. Geri
grew up in a small northern town where her father, Peter Scheck, raised horses and had a
small riding stable. Growing up, she became her father’s right hand in
training, showing and helped him in the veterinary care. He instilled in
her a great love and respect for animals. People who knew him used to say,
when they died they wanted to come back as Pete Scheck’s dog. In her
professional life, she has worked as a certified dental assistant and now
dental receptionist for the past 39 years. Cleanliness and
disinfection practices have become second nature to her.
Geri is
the owner of Gold Legacy Kennels, where her and her husband raise, breed
and show Swedish Vallhunds. She is the proud owner of Ch Osafin Elsa, who
was invited to the AKC Eukanuba Nationals in Long Beach California in
2007, where she won BOS and an invitation to Crufts in England. Her two
males Ch Eklund’s Gold strike (#5 dog in Canada for the breed 2010) and CH
Gold Legacy Mountainfire Thundr (#2 dog in Canada for the breed 2010) have
both been invited to the AKC to compete at the nationals in Florida in
December of 2011.
Jim and
Geri owned and operated a successful greenhouse operation on their
property for 22 years. Her husband had one of the few greenhouse
businesses producing hothouse tomatoes, long English cucumbers and peppers
which were sold commercially. Health reasons forced him to close the
business he truly loved and successfully operated for many years.

Now
the greenhouses have evolved into a great dog facility. Geri is extremely
excited about the full circle she has come in her life and because she has
had to kennel her dogs, and her association with many dog owners and
handlers she has got to know what she would like to see in her own kennels
and the specialized treatment that each and every pet kept at the facility
warrants. She understands that every pet owner wants the best care
possible for their family member and at 4 Paws Country Club, each pet is
priority.
